Family

Evangeline, Zachary and I went to my parents' home in Illinois for a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, with Jon joining us for the holiday. It was a great extended time for Evangeline and Zachary to enjoy their Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncles and Cousins. It was also very relaxing for mom, too!

There's nothing quite as wonderful as family, and the last few weeks were wonderful especially for Evangeline to get so much cuddling, playing, singing, helping, dancing, running and jumping with her family in Illinois.

Here are a large number of pictures:

Cuddling with Grandma (and Buzz)

Evangeline helping Grandma fill the bird feeders

We had a super surprise party for Grandpa Mick and got a family picture. Jon says my eyes look weird in this picture but I was just trying to keep them open wide so that I wouldn't blink :)

My family has a tradition of going to Williams Tree Farm to get our Christmas tree. I haven't been able to go for quite a few years now, so it was nice t

Cousins! Evangeline had a great time playing with Cabe, Meriff, and Baby Sane Bug (a.k.a. Caleb, Meredith and Shane, who we affectionately call "Baby Shane" or "Shaner Bug")

Thanksgiving!

Uncle Chris and Uncle Warren with Jon. Evangeline really loves her Uncles, she even started requesting to pray for them at night (along with Uncle Ben, of course)

Enjoying a 'real' autumn. Cool weather, burning leaves, warm colors (and warm clothes). We had a wonderful time enjoying the great outdoors!

As Evangeline and Zachary get older, times with extended family becomes even more fun and more special. It is such a joy to see Evangeline so enamored with Grandma and Grandpa and to get along with cousins who are so close in age to her. We are looking forward to a long stay in Pittsburgh with Grandma Liz and Grandpa Tom (as well as the other Phillips clan) and returning this summer to Illinois!
